The REVR magazine publishes guides for people buying, renting or selling property in Thailand, many of them foreigners. This page explains how those guides are researched, how sources and dates are shown, how we correct mistakes, and where our own commercial interest lies.
Guides are produced and edited by REVR and published under the byline "REVR Team" unless a named author is shown. REVR is the publisher and is responsible for everything published in the magazine.
Market figures come from named sources: the Bank of Thailand (including its Residential Property Price Index), the Real Estate Information Center (REIC), the Agency for Real Estate Affairs (AREA), and published research from firms such as CBRE, Knight Frank and C9 Hotelworks. Where we rely on a source quoted by someone else, we say so (for example "REIC via Savills").
For ownership rules, title deeds and transfer procedure we work from the governing law, such as the Condominium Act, and from Land Department practice. We label figures with the period they cover, such as "Q1 2026", so you can see how current they are.
Our standard is to name sources inline next to the figure they support. Some older guides do not meet it yet; we are updating them. Data-heavy guides also carry a key-statistics table listing each figure with its period and source, and a Sources section at the end with the title and date of each report used.
Every article shows the date it was first published and the date it was last updated. Market guides also state when their figures were last checked, for example "All figures verified August 2026". We revise guides when a source publishes new data or a rule changes, and the updated date changes with each revision. Market data moves, so re-check figures before you transact.
Email [email protected] with the article link and what you believe is wrong, ideally with a source. We check every report. When a correction changes a fact, we fix the article and update its last-updated date.
No. Our guides are general information. For a specific purchase, tax position, visa or loan, speak to a qualified Thai lawyer, tax adviser or bank.
Yes. REVR is a property marketplace, and it benefits when people buy, rent and sell property through it. Guides may link to REVR listings, neighbourhood pages, experts and tools. Our comparison pages compare REVR with other Thai property sites: they say so, and every fact about another company links to a dated source.
